Songs in Progress
I am working on a sequel to The Shape of Her Heart. In the sequel, The Shape of Her Soul, there are several scenes that I wrote songs for that invoke the feeling of the scene in music. Please listen and let me know what you think!

This is a song that Meleah, the heroine from The Shape of Her Soul, plays for Mar, her true love. She's in her mother's house, a small cottage, and She, Mar, and her mother have just finished dinner, had a glass of wine, and are relaxed. Meleah is playing a harpsicord retrofitted with quartz, crystals, and stone. Her magical ability allows her to flow her energies through the keys, creating music with an otherworldly quality. Mar is entertained. Intrigued. By her, not the harpsichord. :-)

This is a song that Meleah plays through the magical lei lines of the mountains, making the world sing. Visualize a young woman, blonde hair curling in the spring breeze, sitting in a mountain meadow, her hands pressed against a warm rock, picking out a melody as she plays through the energies of the earth. And Mar is sitting next to her, silent, watching her intently, seeing her in a whole new light.

This is just a sample that invokes to me the happy ending of the book, when they're riding off into the sunset. I'll expand it later. :-)
